Coca-Cola FEMSA recognized as one of the Best LGBTQ + Places to Work

  • For the third year, the bottler receives this certification for its non-discrimination policies, its Inclusion and Diversity Council and its participation in public activities to support LGBTQ + inclusion.
  • On this occasion, it is the only beverage company that meets the maximum score and all the evaluation criteria to achieve the HRC Equidad MX Certification.

Mexico City, December 14, 2021. For the third year, Coca-Cola FEMSA is recognized as one of the Best LGBTQ + Places to Work by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation and HRC Equidad MX: Global Program for Labor Equity, for promoting policies that favor equality and the rights of all people who collaborate in the Company.

In line with its DNA, and putting people first, Coca-Cola FEMSA’s Inclusion and Diversity Framework is based on three pillars: 1) Install inclusive leadership, 2) Create a flexible and open environment, and 3) Develop diverse talent.

This year’s edition had the participation of 262 companies, of which only 242 were certified. Coca-Cola FEMSA was the only beverage company to once again obtain the highest score and, at the same time, meet all the evaluation criteria to achieve the HRC Equidad MX Certification: 1. Prohibition of discrimination based on Sexual Orientation for all its operations; 2. Prohibition of discrimination based on Gender Identity and / or Gender Expression in all its operations; 3. It has an Inclusion and Diversity Council that operates formally and that works in favor of Sexual and Gender Diversity; 4 It is positively involved with the LGBTQ + society and community and also, having appeared in the 19th place in the ranking of the 500 most important companies of Expansion.

This certification gives visibility to the inclusive employer companies in Mexico and is yet another activity that adds to the goal of continue addressing the pending issues of a new work panorama and of a society in constant evolution in terms of diversity and inclusion, where the challenge for companies will lie in maintaining the well-being of their talent to further embrace equity among their employees.
