‘Spin by OXXO’: a new application to send and receive money


  • It is an app to carry out cell phone transactions safely and swiftly.
  • It allows you to send and receive money, make deposits and withdrawals in OXXO stores and others.
  • The accounts will be opened in COMPROPAGO S.A.P.I. DE C.V. (COMPROPAGO), a company which is currently being authorized by the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV).
  • Currently, OXXO in-store operations are only available in the State of San Luis Potosí.

Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. March 03, 2021. ‘Spin by OXXO’ is a new app to safely and swiftly send and receive money from your cell phone. Likewise, it allows other operations such as deposits and withdrawals from any OXXO store, balance inquiry, purchases and linkage to a VISA card through OXXO stores, SPEI fund transfers, and money transfers between app users.

The accounts will be opened in COMPROPAGO, a company currently being authorized by the CNBV. Currently, the functionalities in the OXXO store are only available in the state of San Luis Potosí. The app is capable of operating nationwide; it is available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store since March 1, 2021.

‘Spin by OXXO’ aims to simplify the consumer’s daily needs, bringing financial services to the entire population through mobile device innovation and technology. Also, it is simple, straightforward, easy to use, and meets high-security standards.

‘Spin by OXXO’ is one of FEMSA’s efforts to promote financial inclusion in the country.
