- Delivery will take place in the 32 states and in more than 200 municipalities of the country.

Mexico City, Mexico. April 28th, 2020. – Committed with the wellbeing of the community, OXXO donated 1.45 million facemasks to elements of Public Security at a national level. Deliveries were made to the 32 state governments and more than 200 city governments to recognize the work they do to preserve secure environments and protect Mexicans during the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of these deliveries, donations were made for medical personnel in some municipalities.
“In OXXO we recognize the immense labor that the security forces do to maintain order. With their work, the elements of security are one of the first care fronts during this contingency, which we thank and appreciate in OXXO. From our part, we will continue collaborating with the security authorities to contribute in generating safer communities”, said Carlos Arenas, General Director of OXXO.
OXXO has celebrated alliances with local policemen in different states and municipalities, and is interested in continuing with this collaboration to work for the creation of safe spaces in the community. In said alliances, training sessions have been implemented with the police and OXXO’s collaborators, as well as the recognition and support to municipal police by offering installations to recharge their cellphone’s batteries and gifts such as coffee thermos for the officials.
