  • The service will be available in more than 19,000 OXXO stores throughout the country, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., 365 days a year.

Monterrey, Nuevo León, México. October 12, 2021. – OXXO seeks the continuous satisfaction of its customers, which is why alongside Santander it announces today the cash disposal service in the more than 19,000 stores throughout the country for the cardholders of this banking institution.

“We are very excited about our alliance with Santander, since we contribute to generating a positive economic and social impact by strengthening financial inclusion in Mexico. We are aware that some of our stores are located in locations where it is difficult to have access to financial services, so today we add one more proposal, such as the provision of cash for Santander cardholders. With this new service OXXO offers a practical, close, easy and fast option for our clients’ transactions, every day of the year”, said Santiago Rivera, Director of Services at OXXO.

The cash disposal will be made directly in the box, being $2,000 pesos the maximum amount allowed per transaction, and it will have a commission of $15 pesos. It should be noted that, in order to do this, the cardholder does not have to make a purchase.

With the incorporation of Santander to the money disposal service, OXXO promotes financial inclusion in Mexico, so that customers who need cash can dispose of their money in a practical way in any store in the country.

Santander joins other financial entities that have an alliance with OXXO to become a part of the broader network of the money disposal service.
