- The Eugenio Garza Sada Award consists of three categories: Humanistic Business Leadership, Social Entrepreneurship and Student Social Innovation.
- The deadline to apply in the first two categories is March 15, while for the third is April 15.

Monterrey, N.L. February 2, 2021.– FEMSA and Tecnológico de Monterrey invite national and foreign research institutions, professional groups, civil associations, companies, educational institutions and government entities to present their candidates Eugenio Garza Sada Award’s 28th edition, which recognizes social and business leadership skills, which defined the life and work of Don Eugenio Garza Sada.
The Award consists of three categories: Humanistic Business Leadership, aimed at entrepreneurs at least 65 years old, who are employment generators and who promote education and carry out social works in Mexico; Social Entrepreneurship, aimed at associations and individuals that promote education and employment in Mexico; and Student Social Innovation, aimed at students from any of the Tecnológico de Monterrey and Tecmilenio University campuses, who graduated no longer than 2 years and / or who are less than 30 years old who have high-impact social entrepreneurship projects for the benefit of the country’s communities.
The call for the three categories is now open. In the case of both the Humanistic Business Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship categories, the limit for proposing candidates is March 15, and for the Student Social Innovation category, it is April 15.

According to Ofelia María Salido, Coordinator of Tec de Monterrey’s Institutional Awards, the purpose of the Award is to promote leadership and social entrepreneurship of people, associations and students, who with their commitments and achievements contribute to the transformation and well-being of the society.
The award ceremony will take place at Tec de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey in September.
Those awarded with this Prize will receive Yvonne Domenge’s sculpture titled “Interior Light” and a written acknowledgement., as well as:
- The winner of the Humanistic Entrepreneurial Leadership category will receive a check for 750 thousand Mexican pesos, which they will donate to a previously selected Mexican civil association.
- The winner of the Social Entrepreneurship category will receive 750 thousand Mexican pesos.
- And the winner of the Student Social Innovation category will receive 500 thousand pesos of which 100 thousand are for their project and 400 thousand for a study experience.
The Eugenio Garza Sada Award is granted annually since 1993 by FEMSA and Tecnológico de Monterrey with the purpose of perpetuating don Eugenio Garza Sada’s legacy, founder of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, and who distinguished himself by being both a successful businessman and an active promoter of the development of his community, always acting congruously, with great simplicity and enormous human quality, focused on the improvement of those around him , without any distinction.
