Monterrey, N.L., November 9, 2015.- Today, FEMSA celebrates its first 125 years of life convinced that only by developing a sustainable long-term company and business, is it possible to create economic and social value. This institutional philosophy has allowed it to expand its operations to 12 countries, where it has positively transform the communities, by generating 260,000 jobs and satisfying the needs of 350 million customers.

We are what we are today thanks to the work and love that Isaac Garza Garza, José Calderón Penilla, José Antonio Muguerza Crespo, Joseph María Schnaider, Francisco G. Sada Muguerza, Eugenio Garza Sada and Eugenio Garza Lagüera put in the company; a long story where great adversities have been overcome, always determined to follow the example they left us. Today, FEMSA is more relevant than ever, as we have always managed to stay ahead, looking to break paradigms while at the same time generating value in each of the countries where we operate”, said Chairman of the Board of FEMSA, José Antonio Fernández Carbajal.

November 8, 1890 is a memorable date in which a group of visionary entrepreneurs chose to believe in their ideals and undertake a project that resulted in the founding of Cervecería Cuahtémoc Moctezuma, based in Monterrey, Nuevo León, with only 72 collaborators.
