Recognizing, reinforcing, encouraging, and publicizing art works in Mexico.
In 1992 we invited Mexican and foreign artists –with more than two years of residence in Mexico– to exhibit and promote dissemination of their work, reward artistic excellence, and share the richness of their cultural effort with the public.
Through time, it became one of the most noteworthy plastic arts events in the country. As a large number of artists apply, and considering the available space, the selection has grown more stringent.
In its twelve editions, the FEMSA Biennial has counted on the participation of 28,033 registered works and 11,158 artists.
