Every job that FEMSA creates indirectly generates an estimated 5 additional jobs
FEMSA contributes with a 37.5% of the total production of beverage industry in Mexico in 2005
In 2004, FEMSA was recognized as a responsible business leader by the human resources consultancy the Hay Group and the Latin American magazine Gestión. In 2005 it was Coca-Cola FEMSA

Today, FEMSA is a leader in Latin America, with operations in nine countries. We have a diversified portfolio of products that includes brands of soft drinks, juices, and water. More than 100,000 employees make this possible.
We are aware that improving our environment means ensuring that our operations promote the development of our stakeholders. This is why we work towards bringing economic benefits to the places where we are present, by paying our taxes fully and on time, by working with suppliers and employees from the local community, and by generating direct and indirect jobs. For every direct job in the soft drink industry, we create five indirect jobs; in the Mexican beer industry, every direct job corresponds to four indirect jobs.
Below are a few examples of the ways in which we contribute to the economic development of our communities.
