- Coca-Cola FEMSA Brazil promotes the program together with the City Hall as part of the celebrations for the 76th anniversary of the Vila Nova Jundiapeba neighborhood.
On December 6, Coca-Cola FEMSA will bring another year of Citizens’ Plaza to Mogi das Cruzes. The program will be performed in collaboration with the county’s City Hall through the project Happiest Citizens’ Street looking to promote the integration between the company and the local residents by offering services that focus on health, welfare, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, employability, the environment, and by providing information about responsible consumption. The event is also part of the festivities honoring the 76th anniversary of the Nova Jundiapeba neighborhood, which will welcome the Citizens’ Plaza.
It opens to the public from 10 AM to 3 PM, at the Pedro Paulo dos Santos Street, at the Dr. Álvaro de Campos Carneiro County School. The residents who attend the event will have health and welfare services at hand, performed jointly with the University of Mogi das Cruzes, offering services of office workout, blood pressure tests, blood sugar tests, haircuts, and quick massage.
The Citizens’ Plaza will also offer a mobile unit for social work, issuing work and identity cards (1st route,) and legal counseling. It will also offer registration to Brazilian Government’s Welfare Program “Bolsa Familia” and to Coca-Cola’s Collective, a workshop carried out by the company for young people aged 15 to 25 offering classes on employability, retail market, relationships, conferences imparted by professionals from large corporations, simulations of dynamics and interviews.
For children, the Citizens’ Plaza – together with SESI (Industry Social Service) – will offer face painting, inflatable toys, a library with people narrating stories, and other attractions to entertain kids. “For us, promoting the Citizens’ Plaza on such a special date for the city of Mogi das Cruzes, the anniversary of one of its most important neighborhoods, is an honor and a profound satisfaction. We have always had the citizens’ involvement and good participation in all the programs we perform, such as the Christmas Social Caravan and the Collective, and I am certain that it will remain the same on this occasion,” said Ana Flávia Rodrigues, manager of external Communication and Sustainability at Coca-Cola FEMSA Brazil.
