Monterrey, Mexico, March 17, 2015. – OXXO looks for the continuous satisfaction of its clients; thus, today – together with BBVA Bancomer – we are proud to present the clients of this banking institution the service of cash withdrawals in its 12,000+ stores in Mexico.
“OXXO is always looking to innovate with services and products that meet the needs of our clients and seek their comfort. We are aware that a portion of our stores are located in places where it is difficult to access financial services; therefore, today we add a new proposal, cash withdrawals for BBVA Bancomer’s cardholders. With this new service, OXXO offers a practical, convenient, easy, and quick option for our clients’ banking transactions. Cardholders may withdraw cash from 8 AM until 8 PM, every day of the year,” said Asensio Carrión, Category Manager of Telephony, Services, and Cigarettes at OXXO.
Cash withdrawals are performed with the cashier, up to MX$1, 000 per event; the service has a commission of MX$12. It is worth noticing that it is not necessary for the cardholder to purchase anything at the store.
With this new service, OXXO promotes financial inclusion in Mexico, helping clients who need cash to access it in a practical manner at any store in the country.
OXXO keeps looking for ways to supplement and offer its clients better accessibility to financial services; thus, the company is making progress in offering the cash withdrawal service to cardholders of other banks.
For the past year, OXXO’s experience with cash-withdrawal services results in over half a million cash-withdrawal transactions performed every month with its innovative Saldazo card.
On a national scale, OXXO acts as bank correspondent for Banamex, BBVA Bancomer, Compartamos, Inbursa, Santander, and Scotiabank.
