Working with the Clinton Global Initiative

For the first time, FEMSA is participating as a member of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), an international nonprofit organization that promotes the adoption of commitments to resolve global challenges.

As part of its participation, FEMSA announced the immediate commitment to support more than 500 social entrepreneurships (around 2,600 youth) during the next four years, from 2014 to 2017, with investment of 4.5 million dollars, through its “Youth with Value” program. The intention is to promote entrepreneurial spirit and trigger a movement of young people acting as agents of change in their communities.

This commitment is based on four basic pillars, which are: strengthening strategic alliances to ensure the creation of innovative entrepreneurships with high social impact; developing strategic economic clusters; promoting the entrepreneurial ecosystem; and sustainably encouraging the creation of jobs in Mexico.
