Due to the community initiatives for accessing water in Guatemala, the project “Water Bonds” supported by FEMSA Foundation is already benefitting over 4 thousand 950 citizens. We performed the first meeting of implementers and contributors of Water Bonds (MWA) in Quetzaltenango in February in order to present the project’s progress.
Representatives from Coca-Cola FEMSA – on behalf of the Coca-Cola System – attended the event joined by representatives of FEMSA Foundation, Water for People Honduras, Living Water International, Improve International, Water Aid Nicaragua, Aguayuda Colombia, Vision Mundial Mexico, CARE USA, and CARE Guatemala.
Two of the benefitted communities showed what we have accomplished: Nuevo Monte Cristo in Tajumulco, and Doce de Mayo in Tacaná.
“Water Bonds” includes initiatives in Southern Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Colombia, which benefit more than 88 thousand people.
