Hundreds of families participated in the first 5k and 10k Water Race; OXXO organized the event in the city of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, México.
What better way to promote water and environmental care than a wholesome and family event such as a morning race?
Running is an excellent way to get fit and foster spaces where families spend time together while supporting different initiatives. Thus, amidst the celebration of the World Water Day, OXXO Piedras Negras – in collaboration with Piedras Negras’ Water and Sanitation County System – organized the First 5k and 10k Water Race in this city, which is located in the State of Coahuila, Mexico.
The race aimed to promote a culture of respect towards the environment, promoting the importance of water care in the city in addition to encouraging family life. People participated in the following categories: 5k, 10k, women, and men. Over one thousand children, teenagers, and adults picked up their race kits and joined the event.
This race is one of the actions that OXXO promotes in Piedras Negras to support the environment and the community.
