The common good is the best path to development and, through an effort to improve the quality of life of those who most need it, at least 350 people who were living in vulnerable conditions in areas of Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Jalisco, Nuevo León and Puebla today have a home, through an action carried out with the solidarity and commitment of 700 FEMSA employees and their families, in collaboration with the organization TECHO.
The construction of 70 homes was carried out in collaboration between residents and volunteers. Furthermore, TECHO's working model includes activities to improve residents’ quality of life, such as community engagement projects, education and health programs.
FEMSA’s Volunteer Network seeks to encourage responsible citizenship among its employees and Business Units, characterized by a commitment to community, society and the environment. With much enthusiasm and a lot of heart, these volunteers participate in this sort of activities, donating their time and efforts.
In 2013, more than 31,000 employees participated in 326 volunteer efforts across the nation.
